Identifying Challenges from EQ's

EQ for elderly challage.

1)How will changing the elderly's environment affect their daily lives?
Reason: We want the elderly to be comfortable as that effects their well-being.

2)How much will one's perspective change when one is old?
Reason: This way we could better understand the needs of the elderly.

3)What are the special needs of the elderly?
Reason: We need to be aware of these needs so as to help the elderly to be more comfortable.

4)How can the existing products be improved to better benefit the elderly?
Reason: This way, not much money is needed to improve the elderly's daily life.

5)What are the feelings of the elderly when their environment change?
Reason: We need to understand the feelings of the elderly and try to come up with solutions for any special cases where the elderly is uncomfortable.

She does not have any problems cleaning the house.

Elderly Challenge - Observation 3

She does not have any problems clearing and cleaning the utensils after a meal.

She does not have any problems getting water to drink as the only thing she needs to do to get the water is to pull or push the lever.

Understanding the ‘The Elderly Challenge’

1)

Housing for seniors.

There would be a wider range of houses that are more elderly-friendly than normal houses and encourages the seniors to spend more time with their families.

Accessibility for seniors.

The various modes of transport will be more elderly-friendly so that the seniors would be able to lead a more active lifestyle.

Caring for seniors.

There will be more healthcare for the seniors and these would be easily accessible and affordable.

Opportunities for seniors.

There would be more opportunities for the seniors to have to lead a active and healthy lifestyle and to build up relationships with other family members.

HDB would work with market players to offer reverse mortgage schemes for elderly HDB flat lessees at commercial terms.

The Government could top up the Medisave accounts of less well-off Singaporeans whenever possible so as to defray heath costs when they are in their old age.

A dedicated family physician within close proximity to the client is useful in ensuring the multiple needs of the elderly are met.

4)

I could try and make my home a more elderly-friendly place and encourage others to do so too and have a positive mindset towards the elderly.

Elderly Challenge - Observation 1

This is my grandmother. She does not have any problems cleaning the table despite her old age.

My theme is RED!! and these are my pictures. Actually, these are random pictures I took. I just took pictures of anything red. Totally random, so no explanation...but the totally random part might be considered an explanation.

2)I think that research is important as it can give us more information about a certain topic that do not know of.
